He brought in his portfolio and showed off his art and spoke to the kids about how he got his start. He also told them that "all their dreams can come true, you just have to beleive!" She just so happened to have a horse that unleaded and desperate for another person to love her. So basically mady is now working at the painted bar farm in exchange for this horse. It's great!!! Mady is working hard around the farm and gets to ride anytime she wants. Well it has been SOOOOO long since I posted LAST August! Yikes... so here is the short version of a much longer story. Last August Madison got accepted into a very cool Charter School called New Roots in Ithaca, NY. So we all packed up and moved to Ithaca! Madison loves her new school and has made tons of friends and is doing very well. Harry and Carrie are attending a school that had 3rd through 12th grade all in one building so they get to go to the same school. Had we stayed in RI, all 3 would have been in different schools. </div><br /><div>So here we are in Ithaca, NY. I am working at Madisons school as the exercise and fitness instructor and I also started my business (The Wednesday Society) here in NY.</div><br /><div>We are all doing well and have transitioned just fine. We still go back and forth to RI every other weekend or so. I love the driving back and forth... I find it relaxing beleive it or not. </div><br /><div>This picture is our very long driveway leading to the new house. The house is WAYYYY in the country, 4 acres of land with a big pond and a barn. stays together! lol. Carrie chose to keep her feet on the ground and watch. Madison, Harry and I all flew! It was so terrifying, but EXHILARATING! Wow... we all had so much fun and what a great memory!!! We all got to learn a trick too, we learned how to do a back flip off the bar and we all did it! ( Not to brag, but I stuck it!!! As it turns out, I was pretty good at this trapeze stuff! ) Madison got to "catch." That means she was literally caught in the air by one of the instructors. He grabbed her arms mid air and she swung off her bar and then he dropped her down to the net. Carrie was a particpant and I was a crew member. We had a blast! Carrie had a life changing experience and I as always enjoyed being part of the crew! I also walked on FIRE again!!! It was absolutely incredible! I think I forgot how strong I was for a little while. Carrie and her family are "Bahai's" and they celebrated Ayyam-i-Ha this past weekend. It is a time for all Bahais to come together to do charity, gift giving, hospitality, celebrate with each other and express over all good will toward one another. ( we were both able to ditch the kids! ) We had a blast! She was closing her rubber stamp store and I hung out with her while she had her sale. On Saturday, Valentines Day, we finished up her sale, got all dolled up and headed out! We went visiting first so Carrie could bestow gifts upon her family. First to her moms, then to her brothers house. It was nice seeing her brother Greg again, havent seen him in years! Then Carrie and I headed out for Indian food where the young 20 something waiter totally macked on us. lol!!! However, for a couple of old moms.... it was rather flattering! After dinner we went back to her house and talked all night long which is always the case! This week we are learning about India and Buddhism. We were going to go to a Buddhist service yesterday in New Bedford, MA but got snowed in. Tonight we learned how a Buddhist worships. We found out that Buddhists have shrines in thier homes and so we built our own. The kids picked out each special item and we already had the Buddha statue (hard to see in the picture because it is dark, but the Buddha statue is right between the candles.) So the kids and I, with my mom, Richie and Richies friend Mike all went to Diamond Hill for snowboarding and sledding! The eye surgeon removed it and said it was not a wart after all, rather a sty that just grew huge. We had to be at the hospital at 7am and we were home by 11am. Carrie did great! The kids all came in to wish me a Happy Birthday in the morning and through out the day would continue to recite Happy Birthday to mom! They made me feel special. In the eve, we went to dinner with my parents and sister to a local restaurant, it was great! Then after dinner the kids and I did some shopping, then to blockbuster to get movies and to McDonalds to get a birthday McFlurry! Now most of you know that I am opposed to fast food places but it was my birthday after all, so I did indulge in an Oreo McFlurry. Once a year cant hurt!
