Hey Heathershenhouse
 This is a picture of my grandbaby Oliver, in our new mini-van, aka "Granny Vanny" on our way home from his doctor check up.
Notice where I am sitting?
Right next to Oliver, in the back seat and Thad is driving. (His mom had an appointment so we volunteered to take him.)
Why is it significant that I'm in the back seat?
Because I gave birth to 3 kids, and not once did I have someone supportive to go through those pregnancies with.
Each time, I was married but completely alone. (Of course this is all pre-Thad.)
I didn't have anyone willing to go through breathing class with me, no one to come to my doctor appointments to hear the baby's heartbeat, no one to rub my sore back and no one to make me feel like I wasn't alone.
I'm going to cut right to the heart of this email.......
DON'T MAKE BABY'S WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE UNKIND, UNLOVING, UNAVAILABLE OR UNWILLING TO BE THERE FOR YOU.
Now, my daughter and grandson are living with us so I get to spend a lot of time with him and it's really healing a lot of pain I didn't even know I still had.
Being able to sit in the back seat because Thad was driving was a HUGE deal to me. Or when we are babysitting and Thad does as much as, if not more than, the care than I do.
I wish I had this kind of love and support when I was having my kids but I am SO grateful to be able to offer it to our daughter Madison. No one should ever feel alone or lonely especially when they are having a baby!
Anyway. That's what is on my mind right now. Did you feel supported when you had babies? Or did you ever feel lonely and alone while you were in a relationship?
