Hello dear Heathershenhouse So we're in Texas and all was well until the brakes went out on the RV! We brought her to a garage and they had to order parts... from Kansas. Thad asks the garage to overnight the parts and explains that we live in the RV so without it we are kinda homeless. Long story short with lots of frustrating details that I'll leave out- that didn't happen and we spent 4 days in a hotel room waiting for the RV. While we were waiting not so patiently- we spent our days making the most of it and seeing some of the sights in Texas. Then we had a car accident. A guy in front of us- in the far left lane decided he wanted to take the exit so he whipped in front of us and smashed into our Jeep. 🤦♀️ Holy shit man. Are we done in Texas yet? Thank god nobody was hurt... just damage to the vehicles and luckily both were still drivable. It could have been much worse. But as I was sitting in the Walmart parking lot where we all pulled off the road at, I started to think... "What did we do wrong to bring this string of misfortune!?" I allowed myself to wallow for about a half hour, then broke out of it. We didn't do anything. It's just life. I could hear my own words that I had literally spoke that same day to a client.... "Life happens- we make it good or bad with our attitude." So I "fluffed my aura" so to speak and started counting my blessings and my attitude turned around instantly! Life is not a system or reward for good behavior and punishment for bad. It's life. It's not happening to us, and it's not happening FOR us either. It's happening... and our attitude determines the quality of our life. Period. So anyway- we got the RV back and we are currently hauling ass out of Texas to make it to Phoenix in time for a volunteering gig!
